My 5 Most Memorable Fashion Moments of 2017

1. Collaboration Phenomenon
As there were many collaborations in 2017, it was literally the year of collaborations.  However, nothing can actually compare to the phenomenal collaboration of the year like Louis Vuitton x Supreme. Since the confirmation of this collaboration announced, the entire planet turned crazy!  For Louis Vuitton’s menswear Fall Winter 2017 collection, it was the first time to showcase this collaboration, and it was the perfect combination of the high-end and high-street brand. With the overwhelming demands from both labels’ fans, they camped overnight for queuing to buy this collection. Within a day after the sale in select stores around the world, most items were sold out, and the resale price unbelievably skyrocketed.

2. #CHANELGroundControl
Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel, these names will never disappoint us, especially about the runways. The previous collections, Karl has almost everything in the world in Chanel’s runways, but Dumbledore of the fashion world is always ready to conjure marvelous things. Outta space inspired Spring-Summer 2018 collection, Grand Palais was transformed to Chanel space station with a life-size rocket at the center — actually blasted off in the finale. Rocket Man by Elton John played during the finale was so impressive and had stuck in my head for a while.

3. VTNK is on fire
Ask what was the 2017’s hottest show in Thailand, it definitely was Vatanika Spring/Summer 2017 at Bangkok International Fashion Week. I love everything of this show — the cloths truly speaking the sexiness and sensuality of the brand as usual, setting giving a beach vibe, and ‘Besame Mucho’ making this show hotter. The excitement was not only just what I mentioned. The actress, Yaya Urassaya Sperbund captivated audiences with her tempting allurement that we haven’t much seen from her. By the way, who did actually own the show, if it wasn’t Vatanika, herself! The (almost) kiss scene with Bee Namthip was totally LIT!

4. ARAYA IN
A year of mourning after the late king of Thailand has passed away, Hook's by Prapakas paid an homage to the king with his 10th-anniversary fashion show under the name 'Araya in ' (Araya in Nine) at Elle Fashion Week Fall Winter 2017. All looks were inspired by the biography and royal duties of King Rama IX. With the symbol of the white elephant, this symbolized the loyalty and respect toward the king. All 9 acts were totally amazing, while some are so emotional. Even standing outside the tent, I completely got goosebump. Undoubtedly, this has impressed all Thais’ hearts.

5. Gianni, this is for you.
With the 20th anniversary of the genius, Gianni Versace, Donatella Versace paid a tribute to her brother with the beautiful looks inspired by her brother’s iconic creations — I do really love the baroque prints and pastels. The highlight always comes last. The original supermodels; Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, and Helena Christensen, appeared together once again taking to the flashback when they walked for Versace in the Gianni’s era. I have to say that this epic finale absolutely will be the iconic moment of our generation. "Thank you, Gianni. We love you (also Donatella)."
