When Flowers Blooming at NYFW

Even New York City was frozen at 30 degrees Fahrenheit, flowers bloomed at runways during the New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 in past few weeks. The Tory Burch's runway filled with an ocean of 14,000 carnations was created by Landscape artist Miranda Brooks.  The carnation-covered set got inspiration from the work of German performer, Pina Baushch named Nelken — it means carnations in English. If you think that all flowers will be dumped after the show, it will be totally the wrong idea. They all were donated to Lewis Miller, a florist who creates beautiful arrangements, Flower Flashes. The arrangements are in the random places through out the city, so New Yorkers or tourists can enjoy beautified creatures. However, also spotted, there were flower installations at Jason Wu’s show. The conflict of masculinity and femininity was portrayed by flower towers and black acrylic columns. The towers were decorated in the monochromatic shades with pink and yellow flowers.
